Golden Hamster Reagents
The Syrian, or Golden Hamster (Mesocricetus auratus) is a widely used research animal. They are susceptible to a variety of cancers after carcinogen exposure that other rodents do not develop and they are an excellent model for studying metabolic disorders that also affect humans. The Golden Hamster has recently been of interest as a useful model for studying COVID 19 infection. Despite the interest in Golden Hamster as a research model, there is a lack of quality reagents allowing biomarker driven disease state research. GlycoScientific has developed a range of antibodies against Golden Hamster cytokines to fulfill this unmet need.
