GP JAK pAbs

Janus kinases (JAKs) were named after Janus, the Roman two faced god due to having a catalytic domain and a second kinase-like domain that are adjacent and structurally similar.  Upon cytokine and receptor activation, JAKs phosphorylate both themselves and signal transducer and activator of transcription (STATs) to initiate further downstream gene regulation.  The JAK/STAT pathway is crucial to many aspects of cell growth and function.  GlycoScientific has developed antibodies specific to biologically significant phosphorylated sites on JAK1.
