Vimentin

Vimentin (Homo sapiens) NP_003371; Uniprot P08670.  Vimentin is a filament protein that functions cellular integrity.  Vimentin also plays a role in regulating vascular endothelium, fat metabolsim, and inflammatory response.  Vimentin is used clinically as an important tumor marker.  GlycoScientific has developed polyclonal antibodies and peptides against glycosylated and non-glycosylated vimentin.
